Kids Vakantiegids is the largest vacation platform for families in the Netherlands. Every day, the team gathers the most child-friendly offerings from hundreds of tour operators with the goal of helping families find the best-suited family vacation. As an affiliate platform, the website integrates vacations from other organizations onto its own platform. This way, families do not have to search through the various providers themselves, but have one clear platform with the best rated family vacations. To give the platform additional status and authority, Kids Vakantiegids presents the Kids Vakantiegids Awards every year. At Kids Vacation Guide, they fully understand that a new positioning and new brand promise starts with a thorough rebranding. A fresh new visual identity that brings Kids Holiday Guide even closer to the expectations of the target group and provides a strong basis for a new platform. The complete rebranding is laid out in a professional brand guide that the platform can always fall back on when it comes to brand communication to the outside world.

A full-fledged prototype to run user tests

Based on the new visual identity and extensive analysis of the target audience and user needs, we started drawing the first wireframes. In order to test the new platform with the target audience as early as the concept phase, all pages were developed into a full-fledged prototype. A prototype is a fully developed visual representation in which the web design, animations and functionalities are already visible.

Users get a realistic view of the final end result with a prototype and can provide valuable feedback on functionality and usability.

A data-driven platform to be and stay relevant

Kids Vacation Guide’s mission was clear from the very beginning: to become the travel industry’s largest affiliate platform for family vacations. A mission that could only be pursued with the realization of a multifunctional travel platform. An uncluttered environment with smart functionalities that immediately provides the user with the right information.

  • A fully built-in review module.
  • The platform has been made fully measurable to collect visitor behavior.
  • This data is automatically visualized in a dashboard.
